What the site is, and what it is not

Guardbrook publishes general information about what car insurance costs in the United States and how to pay less. It is not an insurance company, agency or broker. Guardbrook does not sell, solicit, quote, bind or recommend insurance policies, does not hold an insurance license and does not make coverage or pricing decisions. Nothing on the site is legal, tax, financial or insurance advice for your situation. The disclaimer explains this in more detail.

Rate-shopping requests

When you send a rate-shopping request, you ask Guardbrook to pass the details you entered to licensed insurance agents and insurers so they can contact you. Please enter accurate information about yourself, and only a phone number and email address that belong to you.

Sending a request does not mean you will be contacted, receive a quote or be offered coverage, and it does not oblige you to buy anything. Any quote, policy or price comes from the agent or insurer, under its own terms and its own license. Guardbrook is not a party to anything you agree with them and is not responsible for their offers, advice, service or conduct. Before you buy, check the agent’s or insurer’s license as described on the licensing page.

Consent to calls, texts and emails

The request form has a consent checkbox that is unchecked until you check it. By checking it and sending the form, you agree that Guardbrook and licensed insurance agents and insurers working with Guardbrook may contact you about car insurance quotes for your request by phone call, text message and email at the number and address you entered. These calls and texts may use an automatic telephone dialing system or an artificial or prerecorded voice, including an AI-generated voice. Consent is not a condition of buying anything. Message and data rates may apply.

You can withdraw consent at any time and by any reasonable means: reply STOP to a text, tell a caller to stop, or email [email protected]. We forward opt-outs we receive to the agents and insurers that received your request. The privacy policy explains the steps.

Calculators, averages and accuracy

The calculators work only with the numbers you enter and show examples, not offers. The state averages come from published sources, mostly the NAIC, and describe what drivers paid on average in past years. Your own price can be very different. The methodology explains the formulas and data.

We work to keep pages correct and current, but laws, rates and programs change. We don’t promise that every page is complete, accurate or up to date. Confirm anything you rely on with your insurer, an agent or your state insurance department. If you find a mistake, please tell us.

Using the site

You may read, print and share pages for your own, non-commercial use. You agree not to:

• send a request in someone else’s name or with someone else’s phone number or email address;
• send false, automated or bulk submissions through any form;
• copy the site’s content in bulk, scrape it or republish it as your own;
• try to get around the bot check, break into or disrupt the site, or use it for anything unlawful.

We may block access or discard submissions that break these rules.

Our content

The text, calculators, illustrations, maps and design of guardbrook.com belong to Guardbrook, except material from public sources, which belongs to its owners. Short quotes with a link to the page are welcome. Names of insurers, agencies and government bodies are used only to identify them and do not mean they endorse Guardbrook.

Links to other sites

Pages link to state insurance departments, statutes and other sources. We don’t control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

No warranties

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, Guardbrook disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and does not promise that the site will always be available or free of errors.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Guardbrook is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your reliance on the site, from a decision you make about insurance, or from the acts of an agent or insurer that contacts you. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the site, which is zero. Some states do not allow these limits, so some of them may not apply to you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where federal law or the law of your home state applies and cannot be set aside by agreement.

Changes

We may change these terms. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version, and the version in force when you use the site is the one that applies.
